Went for dinner today at Joes Crab shack in redondo. Wish I had brought my rod with me. Was watching some others out on the jjetty pulling in speckled bass, bonita and perch. Seem that the biggest bite was about an hour before sunset, they were using white buck tail jigs, silver cast masters, and white curly tail grubs. Letting them sink to about five feet and retrieving in short bursts. Will be out there tommorow evening myself and let you all know how it turns out. I let this be a lesson to myself not to go out without my gear. One tip from a gentleman fishing was a three inch glow stik with a thirtey six inch trailer baited with squid during the darkest hours will bring in alot of mackrel. will test this out also.

Eric Seif

Sorry about not gettin to this sooner. Been crazy. Gotta say after taking five bonita in on sunday it was great. acually used a six inch rappa floater. Fished it jerk bait style off the small rock jetty to the north of the bait shop. I know alot of fisherman that snub thier noses at bonita and mackrel alike. I just cant turn down light tackle with a good fighting fish and some of the best catfish bait to boot. Have fun if you give it a try kids will love it.

Eric Seif
