So many questions in this area. To start with ;
1-Are you still using Navionics Charts ?
My Raymarine Element HV 9 came with North America Navionics Charts as my choice
2-Do you maintain updates annually ?
I maintained updates for the first year of the subscription and let it expire after that. In the past I had other
devices that also had Navionics installed but let them expire too. Mostly what I was seeing in updates was land
charts
3-As most own a chartplotter device does anyone plot out their favorite fishing sites ?
I personally never have done that but had thoughts of doing it, it never developed
that way for me. I do use the mapping for onsite travel for objects of shallow areas and for other safety purposes. With my limited use of the lakes I venture to, its mostly by memory
Another option for Raymarine Axion & Element series chartplotters is called Lighthouse Charts. Lighthouse is their own app which I'm considering this in place of Navionics also has a North America version as well as other global selections. I can't answer if it will be something better, but it looked interesting
North America | LightHouse Charts | Nautical Charts | Raymarine
