Scofield 3/5/25
#1
Kory and I made the long drive to Scofield yesterday.  All day, we only saw one other group (one tent) of anglers and hey were at least 2 miles away from us.  It seemed strange to almost have the entire reservoir to ourselves.  We found there was ~2" of freshly fallen snow on top of ~15 inches of ice, and no slush.  Walking was not difficult, so we ventured out where few venture by foot.  It wasn't extremely fast action, but we managed to get 48 trout on top of the ice.  All were cutthroat with the exception of 4 rainbows.  As sort of what I expected, most were slot busters.

Good report. Too bad there are two ways to "bust the slot" and I assume most were sub 15 inchers? Has anyone busted the other side of the slot at Scofield recently? I haven't heard of anyone catching a cut north of 22" and its been a while since I've heard about a big tiger showing up. Just curious if anyone has heard of any big ones coming out of Scofield lately?

Nice work Kent, I think I’m getting back to the soft water this Friday.
