First trip to the gorge was a success. My two buddies who have never caught a laker got their biggest fish ever. Landed 4 over the 28” mark, lost 2 more and missed a few bites. Most I’ve ever landed in a day. Word at the marina was kokes were picking up.

Brother inlaw was bank fishing Saturday and reported the bite was picking up for bows and pups, too.
Did you jig your macs up?

Steel line and flatfish. Just the way Kyle Edwards taught me.
That is how my Father in law boats his. Tried and proven over many years. Lots of big macs have chomped a flatfish

That's the way I learned how to catch them, probably still my favorite way except I no longer have the heavy duty trolling rod and reel... Broke my rod and put leadcore on my reel... Guess I should get a steel line set up again, that was so fun to do it that way... Thanks for a fun reminder.. Later J
When things get stressful think I'll go fish'en and worry about it tomorrow!
