Today Payette!

Drove all the way to McCall to go after Lakers today.  Not a soul out there just me.  Pristine from last snowfall.  Spent first two hours cutting trail with my snowshoes.  Would drill a hole every 100 yards making sure it was safe.  Went out about a half mile. 120 to 150 feet deep.  Had my rods stretched about 100 yards apart.  Had one hit my jawjacker and flip it like 4 feet in the air losing a 100 dollar rod and reel down the hole.  10 minutes later i not only hooked the line, but i got my rod back and the fish was still on. 152 feet deep in that hole,   pretty lucky.  I only landed four small ones..only a half dozen bites all day.  Ice was about a foot thick.  Here are a few pictures [Image: 20210131-140234.jpg][Image: 20210131-132512.jpg][Image: 20210131-130010.jpg][Image: 20210131-113259.jpg]

Now that is a great story and pics, pretty amazing you got your rod setup back and the fish, especially in water that deep. That is some deep snow from the looks of it. I know you said they were small fish but what size is the one in your pic?

Looks like a great day. Very cool to get your rod back with the fish still attached.
