need help what was this fish ?

I fish the intercostal in North Carolina and saw an unusual fish on the surface yesterday. As I got closer to it, it dove under very lazily, but I was able to get 2 shots of it before it went under.
It appeared to be about 4 foot long, very jaggy dorsal and tail fins. I never saw anything like this, and I have fished for a long time. [inline IMG_0756.jpg]

any thoughts by anyone ?

I'm going to guess a Cobia. I'll ask some commercial guys about it.
