JC says: “ Lets get this straight on the whos who of my friends and enemies who drop into my office. There should be no mistake on who is who, first there is Fish Report Boy and we all know what kinda idiot he is. JC screamed: I found that clown on a farm pond in Arkansa drinking a 16 ounce Burgie and smoking Chesterfields, he was fishing for Carp with chicken livers. I felt sorry for the bum so I offered him a job to write my report, well the Rat has been here 3 and a half years now and I cant shake the little sponge. The guys IQ is that of a 8 year old.
JC went on to say: Now Chris is my dear friend from Marlin School and Marlin Bootcamp, a guy I trust with my life. Me and Chris have a lot in common “like we both only have one eye” so we see eye to eye on most things. Chris understands who the real JC is, the guy who fears nothing, the guy who has led a remarkable life and the guy who wants all the Marlin freaks to follow in his path of glory and riches.
Then there is Darrel and JamieB they both work for Chris. Darrel is in school now studying to be a Mango Botonist and Chris also wanted Darrel to study “How to Watch a Cactus Grow in Real Time” as this is what Darrel does most of the time out at the ranch when Chris leaves town.
HymieB does all the driving for Chris, hauling all the stuff for the ranch down the Baja. JC says: HymieB has made that trip so many times that he likes to call himself the “Rubber Pato” and can we get a big 10-4 for that kids!! JC shouted: “Oh Yea.
Then there is the clowns from across the pond, “The Brits” who think they are Wahoo specialists, well I got some news for those guys I will teach them how to fish for Marlin the JC way before they head home and I will teach those guys how to make some good Shepherds Pie and Yorshire Pudding, the JC WAY!! Them boys don’t know I am a chef!
JC,s LEGEND and LIES will continue next week!!!
Jc Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. We welcome families, and groups. We want everyone who fishes with us to take all the sites in and have a memorable experience. This is what is most important to us. We have and do a few tournaments each year and can cater to fisherman who might be interested in tournament fishing. Well lets get on with the fishing report for this past week.
WEATHER: Hows the weather? Well its great as ever and it even seems it is warmer than past years. A couple overcast days with the sun breaking through this past week, but other than that it has been really nice and pretty warm. It has never really got cool this year, even in January and February it was above average as far as temperatures go. I am expecting a very hot summer this 2016.
WATER: The Sea water around the Cabo area seems to be staying warm if you go out of Cabo harbor and head southeast towards San Jose and Los Frailes. Temperatures are still 71 to 73 degrees, which is pretty unusual this time of year. If you head out of the harbor and go north towards the Pacific side you will hit some cooler water, but unusually warm for this time of year. It looks as if there are pockets of 69 to 71 degree water out past and north east of the Finger Bank. Anyway, it has been strange this year as far as temps go and it has affected the fishing and the species of fish that we should be seeing right now in our area.

BILLFISH: The Marlin have been hanging at the Light House and we have been catching decent numbers by drifting live Makerel and pitching bait. It's so up and down its really hard to say how it will be this upcoming week, but we are hopeful as we have great weather. From the Light House to Ranch Migrino has been good for Marlin and we are using live bait and lure about 2 miles off the beach. What is good about this is we don’t have to run far to get into the Striped Marlin if they're hitting. This week whatever we are catching whether it is Marlin, Wahoo or Dorado we are really working for them, well so what, we live and work in a great area and that’s fishing anyway.
DORADO: Another pretty quite and week for Dorado as we are not seeing them at all over the last few weeks.
WAHOO: Well, there was a little action as far as the Wahoo bite goes. I did hear reports of some fish being caught that were near the 80lbs mark, making for good week for some lucky anglers.
TUNA: All Tuna bites were pretty far offshore and most fish being caught are football size fish up to 20lbs is about it. It has been hit and miss with one day we go out nd land 5 or 6 and the next day it could be 1 or 2, so we really don’t know what is happening with the Tuna and Dorado or for that matter the fishing in general.
INSHORE: Trigger fish action has probably been the most productive out of all the game fish we have here in Los Cabos over the past week, but he inshore fishing is better than last week with more Sierra being caught on hootchies and striped bait from the Solmar to the Pump House. The Amber Jack action was decent inshore and we were using rapalas and jigging iron to entice them, and it worked. Even the Red Snapper and Grouper fishing was pretty good this past week as we did well up and around Margarita Rocks on the Pacific side.

BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs? You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report. Until next time good fishing and we hope to see you in Cabo soon. Come by the office here in Cabo and get all the latest up to date fishing report.
