Fishing was tough at CJ today. Threw spinnerbait at the bank and a little away from the bank and only had one bump in hours. Tried various ways to entice crappie or perch and had little luck until I went up the Brunea Arm. Had to work really had for a few hours just to catch 3 perch and 2 crappie. When they did bite they hit once and were gone if you didnt hook them. Very slow. Talked to many other boats and they did no better. Only good part was that my 2yr old granddaughter had fun..

Slow day bass fishing today for us. Lots of 1 lb Smallies. Water is dirty at jacks creek but the crappie were biting there. Weird. 40 boats in the narrows. I hear the perch are in front of the dam. Lots of perch eggs all over the Bruneau pool. Burneau River is at flood stage and there is all kinda of stuff in the water.

Don't feel bad, Walcott was a struggle too. I managed to land some fish but the first one wasn't until...let's see, I started at 7am and actually caught my first fish that was in the boat at 5:04pm (yes, I checked) Never mind, that's a terrible story. If my daughter's were with me they would have made me leave hours before that. I'm glad your grand daughter had fun, thats where memories are made.
