Does anyone know if Condie or Twin is fishing well lately, or maybe Glendale? Hoping to find some gills this weekend, would appreciate any help. You can pm me if you'd prefer.
Thanks

WOW, I can't believe that no one has any info on some bluegill fishing. Thought this site was to help aid other sportsmen in the pleasures of fishing, I guess most are not willing to share in their experiences. That's ok, I understand.
Thanks anyway.

It's quite possible that nobody knows. Try the Utah board, we border jump and I know the guys have been to Cascade. They might have some input.

I was at Twin Lakes a week ago and caught 3 12" planter trout . I talked to a retired couple that fish it alot . They said two days before they caught a bunch of nice Crappie .

Sorry, I go into hibernation in the winter. Not an ice fisherman. If it were warm weather I'd gladly let you know what I may have seen on my recent trips.

Thanks to all of you for replying, sounds like a tough year this year unless a guy just gets lucky and catches the right day and time. I appreciate your input and will just keep trying to find some of those tasty panfish.

I don't have any idea on the ice conditions. My go to lakes for blue gill in the summer have been either Johnson or Lamont. Johnson probably has the most.

I caught a lot of gills last fall at Lamont while drop shotting for bass. Got into quite a few trout too. I got some really good sized ones at Condie in the summer too, though I would think you would need a snowmobile to get down there this year.

Thanks gstott, I'll probably have to try Lamont or Johnson because I have no snowmobile. Are the gills in Lamont small or are they big enough to fillet. I really don't care to catch the trout but the gills are a blast and very tasty. I appreciate your help.

They were kind of a mixed bag, some decent hand sized ones down to some pretty tiny ones. A few years ago I caught quite a few crappie there too, but none this year, so I'm not sure if they died out or if I just wasn't in the right area for them. Also caught a few perch, but they were small.
Twin typically has some decent sized gills, I've caught many in the 10" range, though I usually just catch them in the spring when they're up in the brush. Not sure where they'd be right now.
