Cod/Striper Tongue
#1
I have seen some of our Striper Club members process bigger stripers like a Deer or Elk.They cut out the fillets then go back at it for special cuts like the belly, collar, cheeks and other head parts.

Never saw them remove the Tongues!? Maybe this will make it appealing to harvest them now.

Yep, that's weird!

I was filleting a 25-30# striper at home when my Korean neighbor happened by. As a joke I asked her if she wanted (I give her fish from time to time) the big neon green roe sacks, and to my surprise she was very excited to get them. (WHOOPS!) She was so excited that I didn't have the heart to tell her I was joking, so off she went with a couple pounds of striper roe...... A couple days later I asked how it was, it wasn't very good.

(I still feel guilty for that...........)
