I took these pics of Utah Lake (and the surrounding area) a few nights ago. This morning, all I could see was white. Come on cold temps. Freeze these lower elevation ponds!

[#0000FF]I hate it when I have to use my giant auger to launch my float tube.

Yeah but you still catch fish from it even though your mobility is limited!

Your deep freeze is here. I was reminded this morning while doing some snow removal why ice fishing is ok and not one of my preferred methods of fishing. TDC!!!!!!!!

Ice fishing gave me a reason to enjoy the cold winters here in Utah. The first few years I was here (and had plans to move out of state), I dreaded winters. Now I look forward to it. Don't get me wrong. I love being out on my float tube in the spring, summer, and fall. Now I can fish year round without having to make trips home to Texas to fish [cool]

I enjoy ice fishing when I go, but the cold has a tendency to make me either drag my feet at going or finding other things todo.[cool]

My son keeps begging me to take him out. His next time where our schedules will meet up so I can take him out will be his Christmas vacation from school.
