I have avoided windows 8 like the plague. Sorry I can't be of more help, but then again I'm not tech savvy at all.

Most likely not the Operating System more so the Internet Browser I think Windows 8 ships with Internet Explorer 10 (IE,) try downloading Google Chrome or Firefox to see if your having the same issue.

I run IE10 at work and allot websites fail to load or certain objects in the page don't load.

If I ever get an laptop it better have a down grade to window 7 because I HATE WINDOW 8. The format is so different and even a guy who used window pc since I was 5 say that window 8 should of never been created. I love window 7 it's fast and the format is basically the same since I was a kid. It's just a faster processor the end [laugh]

Windows 8 isn't all that bad, it originally was design for tablets and modified to work on desktop & laptops. Your response is typical of every time Microsoft comes out with a new OS..

Same thing was said when Microsoft retired Win 3.1 to 95, XP, Millennium, Vista & 7.

Just FYI Win XP will be discontinued on 04/18/14 which means no tech support, no more security patches and no more hardware drivers supplied my Microsoft.

There are benefits to a Windows 8 system over 7 and there will be time when Microsoft retires Win7 ( wont be for several years ) and you are going to be using Windows 8 best to learn it when you can or get left behind.

Buy window 8 laptop and buy window 7 cd to down grade [angelic].

Window 8 wont last for long. They will go back to the old processor style. Ya it just makes me mad how they were planning it for tablets but they put it in pc and laptops and that was a big mistake.

I just received my new laptop yesterday with windows 8.1 no issues here. Got basic stuffage setup. I have to say rather interesting to use thus far and I by far am no computer guru. Like with anything it's going to be a learning curve but in the long run will be nothing but a thing. [Smile][Smile]
