I took my wife and a group of school kids to Costa Rica last week. Most all the kids were avid fisherman that brought poles and we fished a lot. We fished for tarpon and snook on the carribean side, sail fish and mahi mahi on the Pacific side, and rainbow bass and several native species in-between. We caught a lot of fish! You should really go, it was a fantastic trip, and surprisingly affordable. Most of hotels we stayed at were on the water and all of the places let us fish right from the docks.
1. A nice bunch of snook on the atlantic side. We caught them trolling with big rapalas in an estuary.
2. A sailfish that fought like a horse.
3. My wife's big mahi
4. All 15 students caught fish.
I went with fishingadventurescr.com on the pacific side, and a guy named bobby brown on the atlantic side.
