Anyone got the skinny on the bass catching @ AF res? Water clarity? Bass on beds? PM sweet spots to catch the 5 lbers? I know that Walcott is super clear, almost to clear. Have to make long casts to catch a fish. It is cool though when you can see a fish, and it chases what your throwing. Almost as cool as Bed fishing...(is that where the wife brings coffee and scambled eggs while hanging out watching fishing shows on WFN)

Was out by the dam last week. Could get the bass to follow our lures, but they wouldn't commit. The trout fishing wasn't that good either.

Thanks for the report, but sorry to hear that the catching wasn't so good. How are the water levels doing?

\Went above the dam today and below. Above sucked. nothing. Not even a bite. Below got 2 smallies 12in. Saw a 5 lbs being pulled out. I was using a 3in salt and pepper grub. Looks like they were using a small tube salt and pepper, rootbeer.(color like) tube.Maybe 2in . You have to drag it across the rocks and yes you will get hung up and break your line. I don't have a boat. But would like to catch some smallies out of AF. If anyone can give me hints where to find find them. Alos tried the snake river vista and notinhg.

WELL!! Last saturday dtayboyz and I took 4th with over 13 lbs. It was the worst water I have ever been on. my 18ft bass boat came completely out of the water about 30 times and we always hit hard. dont want to do that again. seemed like the bite was off around noon. then the waterskiers came out and hung out in the coves running back and forth inside the coves. almost imposible to fish when that happens

Dry creek soft plastics made here in Idaho are amazing!!!! I like the crawdads!! They seem to keep catching bass when nothing else will at AF!!! Always using greens!!! Also have had one of my best years fly fishing for them with a green bugger I made!!! The only placeI know to get Dry Creek is at Ace and Element in Poky!!! Good luck it has been a good year and its not over!!!

Dry Creek is produced 10 miles from my home. Excellent baits. And the owner is one of the best people you will meet. BRAD PERKINS (can't say enough good about him)
Which of the crawdads do you use?

That cool!!!! I've been using green and red flake!!! My 11 year pond boy was struggling catching bass and when he got ahold of them he won't fish anything else!!! We use them with a bullet weight and make them weedless!!! We lose a lot less in the rocks that way!!!
