Someone sent me a link to their resume Online; however, it is written in Open Office format. I downloaded Open Office three times; however, when I attempt to open the document (by clicking on the link) I get the following message:
"OpenOffice browser extension for Mozilla Firefox not fuond" (yes strange but "found" is misspelled in the message).
Also, to complicate matters I have tried to reply to the sender to see if he could send the document to me in another format and I get an error message that the account has been discontinued or disabled.
I would like to forward my email to someone who has Open Office installed on their computer to see if they could open the file. Thank you.

Sorry I don't have that Open Office Format but I was wondering if you have tried to open it, using a different browser? or your laptop? If you want, I could try to send him or her an Email to see if I get an Error message.

Did you download the firefox extension or the whole program?
Sounds kind of fishy. Might not want to open it!

You may need to download the firefox app for it (or whatever its called).
If you right mouse click the link and select "open with...." and choose the open office program, do you still get that error?

Did you try to right-click on the link and choose the 'save as' option to download the file and not have your browser try to open it? If you can do that you should be able to then open the file where you saved it on your system with open office. If your worried about the contents of the file, scan it before you open it.

I don't see that as an option.

Did the guy call you Kent? If not, it is possible that my Email to him went to his spam folder. You should try to use someone else's computer and log on to your account and send him an Email.
