Ok my friend asked me this may to go to lake powl and do a high school fishing tornament with him. have one fish for white bass the rest its for catfish ir trout. im not asking to you holes or any thing but if you would. were you be the best place to go and what baits do i use for them thanks

Lake Powell is a giant, it would help to know where you would be launching from. There are an abundance of striped bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye, crappie, bluegill, catfish and carp. Trout are going to be very few and far between, I don't remember ever actually seeing a trout from powell but I've heard reports that they are in there. When the tournament is would play a factor as well but the bass are doing well across the entire lake.
