2010 Swan
#1
Took this guy on the 19th. The neighbor kid wanted to throw a tape on him to see how he compared to the swan he got last year. His bird from last year had a 6 ft. wingspan and was 4 feet from tip of bill to tail feathers. This bird measured 7 feet exactly on the wingspan and 4'4" bill to tail. I hunted BRBR 3 times from 1A & just watched the birds fat, dumb & happy out in unit 1. I decided to try a different spot, & took this bird right off the bat. My buddy is still hunting, so I won't say right now where, to avoid hotspotting an area, but will say it is not a secret spot by any measure. A lot of swan hunting is being in the right place at the right time. How is everyone else's swan hunt going this year?

That's a big bird! Congrats! Thanks for sharing the story and the Picture. They where in like crazy, but most left a day before this last storm came in. Good luck hope your friend can still fill his tag.

Congratulations on a beautiful bird! I have a tag and need to go get it filled. I haven't even been out due to work but thing will slow down after this week so I can get out. I don't really care for the 1A madness that can occur at times and prefer to hunt other areas of BRBR too.
