trout fishing wa help
#1
so i went out trout fishing today got there about 11.00 and was there until about 3.30 i caught one little rockfish or something mabye about 6 in long, and then had a trout on my line but it broke free as i was pulling it out of the water. my question is i look out at the other guys fishing and they just throw their line in and sit down away from the pole hang out and drink.. while im constantly reeling and trying to keep my lures, and bait off the bottom. should i just let it sink down to the bottom and wait, or should it be reeling it like i am? im not sure if its the way i set my line up with the lures, and sinkers or what and its pissing me off haha.
any tips or advice??

first, where are you fishing?
second, if they are just tossing it out there and letting it sit there are dunking bait, like power bait, or floating a worm off the bottom. if you are throwing lures, toss them out ther, let them sink to the bottom, then start your retrive. the closer to the bottom the better but try to keep it off the bottom otherwise you will get hung up and lose alot of gear. use a medium to medium slow retrive and you should be all right. let us know how it go's.
