taking some "me time"
#1
Sad as it is i'm gonna take a couple three days off the boards for some me time . actually , i'll be taking the family over to the west side near ludington to see grammy and gramps , the kids haven't seen them in about a year .[Smile]

yes , i'll be getting directions from grammy , i will be taking my luckey flippin' coin for direction and navagational choises .[cool]

you guys hi-tale it to the lakes this weekend and sharpen up your fishin' tales , i'm sure all this time i'll have will be spent thinking up some whoppers of my own to tell when i get back on tuesday [Tongue] .

..........there i was standing next to this mudpuddle no bigger than a hubcap , when i thought i saw this flash of color , darkgreen and stripey , so instinctivly i grabed my bigfish #30 pound rod and my luckey flathead muskey lure , one flick and it was on , the battle of the century between man and fish , right there in the wallmart parkin' lot . that fish was takin line out so fast i had to use my slerpie to cool the reel ................................

oh well i'll save the rest of that story for my return . good fishin' to you guys !!!

just got back from the trip . it was mostley spent around the pentwater area . man was that place packed with people !

i tell you what , for some peace and quiet you had to get out at night for some of the finest cat fish fishing there can be . there's a bridge right at the rivers mouth that you can fish from that offers a great time to be had .

during the day i traveled from ludington on down , fishing every bit of water there was to be had , even the roadside ponds were producing some big bass and gills !

i hit one river in meares that had one guy that bragged about his 40 pound cat cought there a week ago . of course some tales must be taken with a grain of salt , lady at the store said , cause she's seen bigger ones than that when she's been down there . ( gotta watch them tourist traps , i knew this was a come-on to get me to buy some extra worms )LOL !

well got to get unpacked , it's back to the salt mines again tomorow , hi ho , hi ho , it's off to work i go !
