Lures
#1
I've never ice fished before, but I am in the lure industry.

Lately I have a lot of guys asking me about doing ice fishing lures. I don't know anything about them though.

Can you guys educate me about common lure types?

I am in South Florida so I can't go out and do it or go out with experienced ice fishermen.

now that wouldnt be fair of us,

What I mean is we have paying coustomers who pay to advertise their retail here and if we gave you an unfair atvantage over them by telling you what is the hottest ice fishing lures.. I mean, how long could we expect them to remain our paying coustomers if we are helping the compitition?... "no offence intended"

No offense taken. I didn't look at it like that. I'm trying to get a feel for the forum before I advertise on it. I've been reading a lot of the posts and checking out some of the ads. Sorry, but I wasn't trying to be unfair.

There are several ways to get some good information about what people like to use to ice fish. First would be to run different searches using the search feature that BFT has. I know this kind of question comes up almost every year on the Utah main fishing board. Most of the information at the Utah Ice Contest board has been removed as we get ready to start the new contest this year. However the winner from the adult and kids division last year are still there. You will see that every fish posted for points lists what it was caught on. As the contest goes on you can see everything being used. Something to look at now and again.

I don't think I could handle Minnesota. I'm in Chicago for Thanksgiving with the family and it's cold enough for me here. I don't know how you guys up there can be out in the cold for so long when you're out fishing. Props to all of you! You have thicker skin than I do.
