I have a william Joseph like that, but rally don't use it.
Heck, I have the Hydration Back Pack with the fly fishing pockets on the front and side plus the back pack for food and cloths...use it when hiking
Two vest, one mesh, the other with zip off Fleece sleeves.
A fanny pack/chest pack combo from orvis, but I usually use my good old Orvis sling (bandelaro). I love that thing.

this is a link to the [#000080]ORVIS PACK[/#000080] that I have.. and the thing is great.. its comfortable.. lightweight, holds a lot of gear.. and since it slings to the side it stays out of the way and does not obstruct my view of my feet when wading in water (course that does not mean I dont occassionally slip around a lot.. LOL ) ...

THAT'S IT! The thing is great. The little front pocket does come off and can clip to a thin belt, but I leave it where it is
I have packed 6 SYSTEM X in it and still had room.

which size system X .. :-).. seriously though.. I can pack four to five large boxes in there.. plus tools and line and etc.. but because it slings over your shoulder the load is seems to be more balanced... if you dont like it on your side.. slide it around to your back.. it also has a thin waist strap that helps to keep it snug to your hip/waist.. keeps things snug.. lol..

Well, I guess I just gone have to try it out in real life
hiking and see if it becomes a problem walking. I really
like the front and back packs idea. This unit
is very well made and nice looking a well.
Thank you everyone for your replay.

I will say, I think the reason I don't use mine more, is because it sticks out so far in the front. Of course I am a female so my body parts do add to that.
It really isn't a problem walking with it. I am far sited and it is a little hard for me to look down and see what fly to use, but it does make a cool table.

Ive seen numerous clips of anglers wearing/using them.. but now we have a chance for some more first hand knowledge.. way back when when I bought my orvis sling pack I was looking very very closely at these types of packs.. as I said before what sold me on the sling pack was the ability to move it out of the way (to the side or back ) and still wear it very comfortably.. :-)
