I find location to be the better part of vallar, and minnow live or jared and waxworms do well enough alone for me, but yes sometimes I do use "stink" sents.

what works best for me is a catfish stink. weird but it works great in my lake for gills crappie and perch. but I will be a melted ice burg if I can get a catfish to hit on it in my lake... LOL

I have tried Tubedudes Idea of cutting up perch meat into thin strips and then marinating them in various scents. It depends where you are what scent works best. I like crawfish, earthworm, or shrimp scents. The perch meat just stays on the jig better than most baits.

no need for scent with perch. tip a waxie or peace of crawler on a sweedish pimple. hit the first one. pop out his eyeball and repalce the worm. now your in buisness. also never fish for perch at dark. they can see at night like other fish so they just lay on the bottom like walleye candy.[Wink]
