So gas is coming down at the moment but its still hovering around the $3.00 mark. I feel all you guys pain when it comes to pullin your boat to the lake, really eats up alot of gas.
Well no fear, i got something you guys should look into. I recently bought a 9' inflatable pontoon boat and im loving it. For one you dont need to pull it to the lake. If you got a truck you can leave the boat together and just put it back in the bed. If you got a car just take it apart and put it in your trunk. It's really cool how small these boats pack down. And dont think it takes forever to put together, it dont! there are no tools required and all you really need is some type of air pump. It take 20 minutes max to put these things together, so that means u will be fishing in no time.
Worried about space?? dont worry i take all the stuff with me that i take out on my 20' pontoon boat. that includes 4 rods all my tackle, a net and even a lunch. hard to believe i know but it can be done with very few modifications. I will post some pictures and explain my mods later when i get a chance to take some.
So you dont like to row?? thats ok there are many toons out there with mounts that can handle a trolling motor! so you dont have to worry about rowing, but it is good exercise.
Just think of all the lakes in your area that you could use this thing, im sure u have a few places in mind. and after a year of fishing with your new toon it will probly pay for its self since you can get them under $500 and you are no longer pulling that big boat around every weekend. So take some time and check these things out and see what kind of fun you can have fishing from a small craft.
