Fold Zonker over chenille snug and tie off behind eye, but leave room for head.

cool.. but as usual.. couple ?'s

on the flashabou.. are you tying that to the sides and then letting it "dangle" like legs?? if so.. how long should the flashabou be??

lastly.. on the softhackle style ? collar.. how many wraps before tying it off?

oh.. and what would this fly be used for (what species and how)..

You take 2 to 4 LONG strands of Flashabou (on the average they are 6" long) fold them in half and tie the fold at the head of the hook so the Flashabou goes down both sides. I trim them a little shorter than the length of the overall fly. You want them to flutter down the sides of the fly for an attractor.

In the picture, you can see the feather before I prep it to tie it in. I have cleaned the shorter barbles and fluff. 3 to 5 wraps, or the whole feather shown.

This fly can be used for any thing, Trout, Bass, Sunfish...I don't fish salt, but I would try it there.
It is a streamer so fish close to bottom.

I am guessing this can be tied in different colors as well.. for example.. grey.. white... chartreuse, salmon..

I realize the name may change since its not a flamin red anymore.. :-)..

[#008000]As OJ said what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. So I guess you can't take a Vegas hooker out to the salt. I was thinking of a fly that looked like it was all lit up like a neon sign. That is multi-colored with lots of flashabou.[/#008000]
