Hey there guys,
After checking out the local saltwater scene, things might be getting tougher as we head toward the weekend and predicted bad weather. PB'ers in Santa Monica Bay as well as some in Dana Point and off Huntington/Newport reported traces of the red soup (red tide, alge bloom). Hope this doesn't compound the colder 55 degree water inside the Long Beach/San Pedro harbor as well as outside to near the Horseshoe. Past years, the red tide has put a real dent in the catching though it doesn't mess up the fishing if your not to fussy. ha ha
I'm going out tomorrow to Catalina, if we're lucky, where the water is warmer in hopes of a getting my first single WSB. (legal limit at present) None on the tube (lots of short shorts) because I ain't going to the right spots at the right time I guess. I will make a report tomorrow evening on the trip.
