Water temps remain cool in the Magic Valley. Fishing has been slow but with a few warmer days it is beginning to pick up.
Salmon Dam anglers are picking up a few rainbow trout, but the best places right now are Milner Dam and the Snake River for bass. Angles are reported doing well at both places. Sturgeon fishing is still doing well on the Snake.

Many upper lakes, Mormon Reservoir and Thorn are still under ice and snow and anglers can't reach them.

Big Wood River: Closed. Opens May 24.

Silver Creek: Closed. Opens May 24.

Little Wood River: Giant Stoneflies will begin hatching in April and May so prospecting for patterns can start at any time. Cutoff Road is reportedly very muddy, but the Carey route is useable.
