The highlight of the day was we caught 3 walleye[cool] 44 perch & 3 trout (2 of them at 2#'s). We started at 13' and got nothing, moved 15' and very slow, best was at 18'. Best color was a red and very bright yellow tube jig, and then anything yellow tipped with a worm, meal worm or eye. Tried my slammer again and no takers, its probably really going to make me jump when it finally goes off.

Nice job! I could never catch an eye out of there, just trout bass and perch. It loks like you figured out the copy and paste huh?

Yes, I guess if I had just thought it thru I could have done it, I copy and paste everywhere else. I was so thrilled when up came a walleye and then to get 2 more was awesome, but we really were only fishing for perch, they, the eye's must have been on the hunt.

There are some huge eyes in there. If my mind serves, the new ID state record was caught out of there in the last 2 years or so.[cool]

Yes the record was broken there. However I am just learning how to catch those critters.

Most of mine have been while fishing for other fish.

Exactically what we were doing, fishing for perch. I hope to get a better handle on what they prefer jig wise and such. If you saw my makeshift jiggers out of pvc, they dead stik till a breeze comes then they move ever so slightly. I got the idea from the Mr Jigger and then from iceshanty equipment inventions section. I like them cause they're light and break down easy.

Went to Norton Bay again this Sat.
Water around the edges but found a place to get on.
Caught 19 10+" perch and 1 13" walleye. Was real slow but a beautifull day.
