I spent yesterday Sunday, on the Horseshoe fishing with frozen squid. We sat on one rock the entire morning and caught limits of legal calico bass plus dozens of small ones. Really refreshing after a winter of nothing but sandies. We didn't catch any bruisers but had no trouble with the 14 inchers. The water temp was 58 degrees not your best calico temp but we got them anyway, probably because the current was running uphill with the wind. Now if the squid will (please) show up maybe the green cold water will kick off the sea bass.
