Lower Ct. River
#1
We headed out of saybrook at daybreak and headed for the jettys. Bobct lost a keeper striper at the boat, then boated one 24"[Image: mad.gif] Poppers where working for him. Tried to head out to the shoal, but a bit rough for the lund so headed back to the river and trolled tubes, spoons, jigmaster, and plugs but no takers. Plenty of bait in the water and screen showing some good fish, so we stopped and drifted bunker, but to no avail. Headed up to Hamburg cove and I got my only fish for the day an 8" striper. [Image: biggrin.gif] A bit windy, but it beat watching paint dry.

Ya and he let me fish this time too! Had to bust a little.
Last time out his dad, Don was with us. So three trolling is tough, kicked back and enjoyed the company and the day.
Saturday started out locked in with fog that burned off @ 8:00. Little trolling, no luck. Poppers on the jetty, quick fast and gone. Out into the sound, picked up quick, outta here! Back up the river. A little bit of everything thrown, just one of those days.

Hope Pop had a safe trip and look forward to hearing his drag SCREAM in the spring.

You just never seem to stop. Looks like shallow water is the place to be. See ya in the am.
