LOL, I have done that many a day on a john boat.... nothing like being a lightning rod out on a lake...
we just had a few days like that in a row here in mittingan. steady down pours lasting for several hours on end. my area missed the fire works but north and south of me sure got a good show...
I was on the water on monday when the first bout set in, I was about a mile out in a row boat when I saw a flash and then heard the grumblies of the rumblies....
I did manage to pull in one 14 inch LMB and one 10 inch gill before getting run off the water.....

I don't know about you DaveT, but lately we here in the north have had to get use to fishing in the rain. Now that the rain has warmed up some it's almost pleasant.[crazy] No one is on the lake to bother the fishermen and women.

I love to hunt and fish in the rain, its the little flashy things that preceed the rummblies that bother me...
I am not to fond of those heavy down pours that fill my little 12 foot row boat in a couple hours, (no bilge pump) it reminds me of forest gump when he said some times the rain comes up form the bottom....[angelic]

[green]Looks like the fishing Gods are a little PO with the fishermen. Was invited by friends to spend several days at their cabin in the mountains. Planned on doing a little fishing and some golf. The weather was the worse that they could remember. High 90sÂș and the same for the humidity plus wind. Not good weather for FFing. Couldn't wade or tube in the lake otherwise I would have been tubing in a bathing suit. Oh well due for better luck next month. Did play some golf. In 15 minutes my clothes were drenched. I had enough of that crappy type of weather when I lived in Florida.[/green]
