Rifle Gap Report,12-24
#1
Bein it was gonna be -20at11-mile I decided to go to Rifle. It was only about 0 there. No wind, though.Ended up with 13 Perch, all about 10"ers and 15 trout from13-16".My friend got 15 trout the same size. The perch were extremely finicky afternoon and I had a lot of hits but they just wouldnt swallow. Got caught up in the wreck at the tunnel and sat for 3hr,20mins.I'll prolly go back for the perch again.

I am new to Colorado and love to take the kids perch fishing. How would you get to Rifle Gap from Arvada?

PC-
I've never fished Rifle Gap so I don't have precise directions to the lake. It is near Rifle, CO. Rifle is west of Glenwood Springs on I-70, about 180 miles from Arvada.

I think www.mapquest.com will give you precise driving directions. Just use your home address as the starting location and use Rifle Gap as the destination city and it gives the driving directions to Rifle Gap State Park.
