Newton update

I ventured out to check the ice conditions and possibly fish at Newton this morning. Unfortunately I wasn't able to access the ice. Warmer daytime temps have started to rot the edges. Hopefully with some colder temps it will be accessible in a week or two.

Could be the water is rising but I'd bet the main ice is still good, might have worked using a plank.

Wish I would have had a plank but ill just have to check back next time I'm up north.

Alan reported the same condition to me last week. I know in the shallow areas where I got off the ice it was pretty thin then so I suspect that area warmed quickly and we’ve been having temps in the 40’s so might take a break before it gets good again. Later J
