That is a lot of brown trout. What was the largest one that you caught?

2 browns and 1 bow were in the 14 inch range. We caught a dozen or so that were in the 8 inch range.

The Fremont River above Mill Meadow has one of the highest densities of brown trout you'll find in Utah. That also means the most of them are "small".
It is not a surprise to catch numerous browns from Mill Meadow.

I grew up fishing the Fremont River and Mill Meadow. In those days all we caught were rainbows (and lots of chubs just below Johnson Valley Reservoir). The arrival of whirling disease, the arrival of perch and the planting of brown trout has changed all of that.
