Fished CJ on Sunday for crappie, and it was red hot. Hits on almost every cast. They were tight on the south shore in the middle of the Narrows. Look for the boats!! Mike

Certainly no jumbos, but theiy are certainly larger than this past spring. About three different sizes, and approx. one in four is a very decent size. Heading over next Tuesday.....hopiing this cold weather hasn't turned them off the bite. Mike

Not sure what your water temps were there but from my experience with crappie, the cold does not seem to affect the bite much, unless a storm front move in. Did you try fishing for any perch while you were there?

Fished it yesterday afternoon. All crappie, until we switched from Crappie Nibbles on the jigs to cut bait. Boom. Lots of perch. It went from 100% crappie to a 50 /50 mix. Mike

Certainly no Cascade jumbos, but large enough for some nice fillets. Mike
