It's really easy to blame it on ice fishing, maybe if you looked at the stocking numbers declining over the last 5 years it would help you. Call me crazy but with less fish going in less fish will be coming out. It wasn't many years ago the hot topic was please take a limit of fish it will help the fishery. This was the first year I've sat and listened to a large group of old timers fly fishing for the Brooke spawn complaining about the fishing and I'll tell you stocking was their gripe not ice fishing. One last thought with ice fishing going for many years, if it was killing a fishery why were they begging us to take limits 2 years ago, ice fishing has been happening 8-10 years. But oh well I'm sure I'm wrong somewhere.
