From what I understand, yes, the bass are an illegal planting. Which is a terrific shame. They won't do well there, the bugs are the only food base, and they will stunt both themselves and the trout. If not poisoned, the lake will be a total waste land of mini-bass.
Valuable time and money will have to be spent to restore this fishery. Or they may not bother, and might leave it as a monument to bucket bio stupidity!
Since F&G hasn't changed the regulations at Hawkins, regular bass regulations would be in force. So the regional limits on size and number haven't changed. Just a heads up!
