Ok, so most of you from Idaho know that the Governor travels the state and has what he calls Capital for a Day in one of the towns/cities in Idaho where he holds public participation, issues, and even signs bills around the State. Well, I got a text from Tom Wolf, director for the State Invasive Species program who is over the Quagga Mussel Species and other such programs and the Governor is holding Capital for a Day in Paris, Idaho on Friday April 29. He thought that this might be a chance for folks down in that corner of the State to get over and ask him a few questions on this program. I said I would pass it on so if anyone down that way can slip over there and explain what some issues for fishermen/recreationist are and why more money cant be dumped over here and/or put in more inspection stations, in light of the program getting increased by around $1,000,000.00 more seems ridiculous that SE Idaho couldn't get a little bit of the increase to help.
Just a thought to try and help us all out. I appreciate that the close work with this State Program is concerned over same issues and is willing to pass information like this along to see if the public can help out.
