FLUSHING TWP. - The Genesee Sportsmen's Club, 8208 N. Seymour Road, will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. New Year's Eve and all day on New Year's Day.
The club will be open for regular trap, skeet and sporting clays on New Year's Eve, but a special fun shoot is planned New Year's Day.
That program will include trap, skeet, sporting clays and quick clays. Prizes will be awarded, a raffle will be held, and food will be served. Events both days are open to the public. The club also is starting its annual winter league, whichruns Jan. 3 through April 3.League events include skeet, skeet doubles, backup skeet, two-man teams, .410 league, side-by-side doubles, trap and trap doubles, and sporting clays.
There will be men's, women's and youth divisions open in all events.
Registration fees are $15 for the first event and $8 for each additional event. Shooters can participate in league shoots on weekends and Wednesday evenings.
