You can buy a fishing licence in December for the next year. Lets say you don't have a 2014 licence but your wife buys you a fishing licence in december for 2015. Does that mean you can use the 2015 licence in December 2014???
I agree that kids need the chance to hunt and fish. They NEED the success to keep doing it. BUTT the laws need to be followed. I raised three kids that all fished and two hunted. I really can see their side. But the parents broke the law and the fact is those applications were illegal. Just like the instance above, if you use the licence early you broke the law. Even if those kids had their tags taken away since it was an illegal act, they could have still went on an open hunt which is what was intended by the F&G in the first place.
The people/parents that applied with the kids should have had to sit out on the draw for the next two years. They broke the law.
