Went to Utah on vacation over the 4th of July. We camped at Huntington North Reservoir outside Huntington, Utah with 4 grandsons. The fishing was slow in the reservoir, but we did catch a couple of LMB and some Wipers that were stocked in the reservoir. One was about 3 pounds and they try to pull the rod out of your hand when they hit!
On the way back home to Henderson, we stopped by Sand Hollow, as I have always wanted to check it out. It was too windy on Sunday night, but I was able to get out for a few hours on Monday morning. I caught a few LMB on a lipless crank-bait and switched to a drop shot rig where I caught some more --- mostly between 1 - 2 pounds. At least I know more about Sand Hollow than I did before, so I can go back with my grandson perhaps when the heat lets up!
