I used a dremel for cutting and an orbital sander to smooth it out. The whole thing is secured to the foot peg with a hitch pin like the one for the foot peg adjustment. I drilled the 1" T and put the hitch pin through a hole in the foot peg. I can take the whole thing off quickly or just the top with the union, or switch out the top like I said before to a sturgeon set up. If you need any more info feel free to ask. I tried the scooty mount on the foot pegs and they just are not as adjustable or as handy as the one's I made. Ron
