South east of York, Off Rt74. One of the biggest issues I see is plain ignorance....just because its always been done that way doesnt mean its good or effective. Planting so many walleye with no forrage fish is a prime example. refusing to dredge the river to its original channel is another.

Here is the most assinine thing I have seen...At holtwood, they have increased the height of the dam rather than remove the sediment buildup.

A smarter thing to do would be to sequentually open the flood gates on the 4 dams in progressive order to create a flood condition to wash out the sediment. it would help greatly.

I went to Holtwood dam and did some simple measurments. At the dam there is a buildup of 20 FEET of sediment. If this were removed, the river would take on a different characteristic.
