I tell people we aren't getting the truth in the news in so many stories that shape our lives with legislation, etc.
Most are conditioned to call me a conspiracy theorist to dismiss me as a kook and scare off anyone else preferring not to be called a name over doing their duty by being "ever vigilant" as admonished by our Founding Fathers.
The news lies to us. I attend legislative committee meetings and the next day read the lies in the news, but the only ones who know the truth are the ones who were there and they have little influence on being believed by the voters over the broad reach of broadcasts and newspapers that have their political and social articheture agendas.
This is one rare chance for most of our group to see an example of the lies. Still, I suppose people will still trust the news and dismiss this one as a rare example of an innocent mistake or incompetent reporting.
How many times do you need to catch liars in lies to not trust them? This is also a news story albeit one never investigated nor reported.
