I do understand why the land owners wanted this law. I have seen at every fishing spot I go to being lake or stream evidence of misuse. It is 
. I always find myself picking up after others that littered. In fact I had picked up several cans left behind by other river anglers, that day! There are always cans.
LeslieA had issue with the fact I refused to leave. In fact I did leave when I was satisfied he was being truthful and was part of the privately owned land. Unfortunately I was only satisfied when he called the Morgan Police.(dumb on my part.) The law is the law and even if I am not aware of it, I cannot use my ignorance as a defense.
LeslieA was a good guy and acted as a good fisherman would. He exchange information about the fishing with me and was friendly. It wasn't till the trespass thing started till we had a problem. If I had taken his word for it and left there wounld be no problem with Police and charges.
