To be fair, I had my 8 weight for the carp. I was fishing little flies trying to scare some perch into my basket. How was I supposed to know that those big suckers liked such itty-bitty flies? Anyhow, that was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had, so I'm pretty pleased with the results. I needed a new rod anyhow.

R.I.P. $5.00 Browning that I got at a yard sale 10 years ago, you did well.
