Echo Bay 06-08-12
#9
I checked the same thing and figured pushing it we had till 3pm. The winds certainly came in early. Our deep V isn't enough either. Actually the boat size is fine in pretty decent winds but the weight isn't. Advantage of fiberglass boats and way bigger boats. More weight (downside is bigger motors and a whole lot more $$$).

It does realllllly help when you do get stuck out there in the wind to fill the livewells. I have two. 20 gallon in the front and 40 gallon in the rear so by filling them I add nearly 500 pounds to the boat. Helps cut through the waves verse going up and slapping into them beating the snot out of everything.
