Hi everyone! Haven't posted in a long time as we haven't been able to get out on the lake much this year. But, the last 2 trips have been good, both out of Echo Bay. Last week we ran into a bunch of what I would call "mini" boils. But, the striper weren't chasing bait fish, they were scooping up all of the knats floating on the water. The knats were thick and all over the water, the boat, and us, but the striper were loving them. Never seen anything like that before, but it was good. We brought home a nice cooler of fish. Forgot to take any pics, but took a pic yesterday.
Yesterday we had to get out early knowing the wind would pick up fast. Fished a favorite cove and came up with a 2 lb 5 oz largemouth that was a beauty. Caught 5 other stripers and then got off the lake right before the winds picked up. Another great day fishing.....glad to be back!
