I'm not very interested in hunting as a sport, but I am very into it for the food aspect. That's the only TRUE organic meat. Nothing healthier.
I have been wanting to get into it, but nobody I know hunts, other than BigE. He does a deer hunt (I think every year - correct me if I'm wrong) but yes, those get expensive.
I only have a .22 long rifle and a 12 GA shotty, but my Pops has quite the gun cabinet. I could always borrow a .30-06 from him to kill bigger game like deer. I suppose I could buy slugs for my shotgun for deer hunting, but I'd rather not. It's more of a combat shotgun than a hunting gun anyway.
I guess in NV, you don't need a license to walk off into approved areas and hunt coyotes and jack rabbits til your heart's content. I wouldn't mind eatin a rabbit. I don't know if they are any good out here though.
What else can we hunt for out here? And how much do deer tags cost?
