Hit the shore around 2pm today. The bite was on with sardines off the bottom. I caught 3 nice sized ones and my bro got into some nice ones also.No love for the lures yet. Forgot my BFT sign at home or I would have entered another.
We put the first fatty on a stringer and were releasing the rest. Well it was almost time to leave (6pm) and all I can think about is how good the fish tacos were going to be, when all of a sudden I see the red rope part of my metal stringer go straight past me getting pulled by the fish. This little boy was playing around and threw a log that knocked my stringer out. I was so mad, but held it together, the dad made good and gave me his metal stringer. Other than that a great day at the lake. I had one get away that had my med-heavy duty rod bent to its max, straightened my hook and it gave a hell of a run with my drag tight.[inline Image04062012210625.jpg][/left]
