Fish finder and trolling motor opinions please..

You don't want it sticking out under the bottom since water hitting it would cause it to pop up. It doesn't need a view forward at all. Just room behind the motor across the sides to get SI. If your motor is blocking it when down that doesn't really matter either since you can't get SI going faster than 5mph. Just raise the motor a pinch when trolling, etc to get a good side shot.

My motor is almost all the way down as it sits in these pics. I can't put it all the way down in the garage w/o hitting the floor. Very close though.
